Carscapes
Jeff Chabot

Landscapes are appropriated from car commercials then digitally altered by removing or partially removing the cars. We are left with fantastic landscapes all manufactured to sell cars.

In torn out magazine pages cars, trucks and suvs are whited out using Whiteout™, creating a negative space in which the landscape surrounds...or at least that was the attempt.

You never saw cars in Ansel Adams photographs, but now with the aid of digital technology, we can add them. Ansel would love this! His photos are scanned and used as backdrops for automobile adventures.
